CDL Academy student expectations

I understand as a student at CDL Academy, I am expected to follow all rules and regulations set for by the school while attending school and or involved with a school function.

I understand CDL Academy works in four modules to get you the student ready for the state CDL test.

Modules are as follows:

  1. Classroom (must be completed to get permit)
  2. Pre-trip (must know before testing this is the 1st part of the state cdl test)
  3. Yard skills (must know before testing this is the 2nd part of state cdl test)
  4. Driving (must know before testing this is the 3rd and final part of state cdl test)

I understand as a student of CDL Academy I am not allowed to drive or back cdl academy equipment until I have passed all required test, have my CDL Permit in hand and submitted a copy of my CDL Permit to the office.

I understand as a Student of cdl academy I will not be backing the equipment until the instructor(s) can see that I have working knowledge of the truck and the parts of the truck. (This is a safety issue the instructor onsite will help you the student in learning this) (This is also known as a pre-trip inspection.

I understand as a student of CDL Academy no state test date will be given unless I the student can pass all four modules of the state test with a CDL Academy instructor.

I Understand as a student of cdl academy I am not allowed to sit in my car during training. No matter the weather as a student of cdl academy I will participate with the training the instructor is given at that time. If the weather gets bad the instructor will let class out for the day. (You as a student will not be asked to train in heavy rain, lightening, or adverse weather conditions).

I understand as a student of CDL Academy I am expected to be at class on time every day before 8 am CST. If I am not here by 8:15am I may not get to train that day. I will be back on the yard/classroom for training before 1pm CST after lunch. (Depending on the reason you are late for class). I understand cdl academy has a strict attendance policy.

I understand as a CDL Academy student I will spend more time working on my pre-trip and backing than I will my driving skills as the pre-trip and backing is harder than the driving.

I acknowledge I have read, fully understand and agree with everything cdl academy students are expected to do while in attendance with cdl academy school.
